The No. 5-seed Minnewaska Lakers advanced to the Section 6AA-South semifinals, beating No.4-seed Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta 55-36 on Thursday in Morris.

Minnewaska (13-14) will face top seed New London-Spicer at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s University in Collegeville.

Ariel Ostrander led a balanced Laker offense with 11 points, with Bayley Pooler and Carley Stewart at 10 points each and Madison Phillips and Taylor Amundson with 9 each.
