Tigers improve to 5-0 in baseball action

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta came out on top 14-12  in a slugfest Thursday in Paynesville.

Mac Beyer hit a two-run homer in the first inning to help the Tigers take a quick lead, but Paynesville came back to take a 9-5 lead in the third.

Paynesville walked the first two batters in the fourth and Tanner Picht followed with a three-run homer to cut the deficit to one.

The Tigers added four more in the fifth and sixth innings to put the game away.

The Paynesville pitching staff walked 13 batters.
