Tigers invoke 10-run rule on the Braves
Brady Jergenson slugged a two-run homer after Corey Storck reached on a two-out double in the fifth inning to invoke the 10-run rule for the Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tigers who improved to 9-8 overall with the win on Monday, May 19.
Jergenson drove in three runs earlier with a two-run single in the second and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Jergenson, Storck and Joey Dufault had two hits apiece while Gage Backman doubled twice and singled to drive in four runs.
Danny Tracy scattered six hits and two earned runs in five innings of work on the mound to earn the victory.
Cody Hammerschmidt forced the Tigers to bat in the bottom half of the fifth after belting a two-run homer in the top half for Benson.

The Tigers wrapped up their regular season over the next two days by hosting Montevideo yesterday (Tuesday) and traveling to Glenwood on today (Wednesday) to take on Minnewaska. Benson and MA/C-A then open the Section 3AA-North playoffs Saturday, May 24 in Montevideo as No. 3 MA/C-A takes on No. 6 Red Rock Central and No. 7 Benson plays No. 2 Montevideo.
