A nine-run second inning ignited Morris/Chokio-Alberta in upending Yellow Medicine East 13-1 Monday.

The Tigers remained in a virtual tie with Lac qui Parle Valley for first place in the West Central Conference South.


The Tigers, who improved to 7-1 in the conference and 11-1 overall, had 13 players bat in the second inning, producing eight hits. Travis Rinkenberger had a two-run single, Tyler Hansen added a two-run double, and Ryan Beyer slugged a two-run homer.
