Six Morris Area Tigers qualified for the State Track and Field Meet June 6-7 at Hamline University. Individuals placing first and second, as well as first-place relays, at the Section 6A Championships Thursday at Moorhead advance.

The Tiger 4X200 relay team of Lincoln Arnold, Corey Nohl, Taylor Nohl, and Matt Wulf won a trip to state by taking first with a time of 1:32.85. The team will be running Saturday at Hamline.

Jackson Henrich placed second in the discus with a distance of 152 feet, 10 inches and will throw Saturday at 3 p.m.

Taylor Nohl's second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.12 will put him into the preliminaries Friday at 4 p.m.

Rachel Moser took second place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.05 and will run in the preliminaries Friday at 3:30 p.m.

She also placed second in the pole vault with a height of 9 feet. She will compete at state on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.

The boys' 4X400 relay of Arnold, Corey Nohl, Taylor Nohl, and Wulf narrowly missed a state trip. The team finished in second place with a time of 3:31.51. A time of 3:30.44 would have qualified them for state despite placing second.

The girls' 4X400 relay team of Katie Huot, Rachel Moser, Kelsey Loew, and Tina Larson placed fourth at the section meet with a time of 4:15.94.

Tara Fehr placed 11th in the pole vault with a 7-0.

Lowe was 13th in the long jump with a 12-08.

Katia Vantries took 14th place in the shot put with a 28-03.

Vantries was also 14th in the discus with a 74-01.

Arnold took third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.36.

Wulf finished 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.84.

Ben Ehlers ran the 800-meter run in 2:10.72 for 11th place.

Stefan Lemke's time of 4:49.33 in the 1600-meter run put him in fifth place.

Lemke took 11th place in the 3200-meter with a time 10:49.93.

Tristan Michealson was 12th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.59.

Cody Cannon took 10th place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 45.27.

Morris Area's 4X100 relay team of Geoff Brustuen, Tom Kloos, Corey Nohl, and Steve Sarlette took fifth place with a time of 43.36.

Nathan Fangmeier finished in 13th place in the high jump with a 5-02.

Cannon's pole vault of 11-00 put him in fifth place.

Conor Metzger took 13th place in the pole vault with a 7-00.

In the triple jump Henrich took fifth place with a 39-01.50.

Cannon took eighth in the triple jump with a 38.08.0.

Josh Love placed fourth in the shot put with a 44-00.50.

Henrich was fifth in the shot put with a 41-11.75.
