The Morris Area tennis team enters the Section tournament this week with much experience.

The season started at home Aug. 21 with a triangular featuring West Central Area and Parkers Prairie. The Tigers' first match on the road was a quadrangular Aug. 24 at Osakis including New York Mills and Melrose.

A highlight of those early matches included two doubles wins against the Knights. Tabby Sanderson and Laura Lou Delehanty won at first doubles and Kelsey Schreifels and Pam Sax were victorious at second doubles.

For the season, the Tigers' most memorable moment came Sept. 12. in Marshall. Morris Area picked up a 5-1-1 win over Worthington. The wins were posted by Bekah Larsen at second singles, Rory Anderson at third singles, Krista Matthews-Saugstad at fourth singles, Schriefels and Sax at second doubles, and Kaitlin Van Horn and Renae Mullins at third doubles. A tie breaker for Jenny Hennen at first singles was not played out due to rain.
