Tigers run in Holdingford, Smith takes 2nd

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta cross country teams ran in the Holdingford Invitational Thursday. The host team took first in both varsity events.

The Tiger girls were again led by MaKenzie Smith, who placed second overall with a time of 15:38. Rachel Rausch placed 10th with a time of 17:04, Savannah Aanerud finished 14th in 17:33, Becca Holland placed 22nd in 19:31, Adrianela Mendez finished 23rd in 19:35, Tahni Jungst was 25th in 21:19, and Miranda Day was 26th in 25:03.

Roy Reese finished sixth with a time of 18:10, Ryan Gray placed 21st in 19:30, Max Jerke was 23rd in 19:47, Eric Staebler was 34th in 21:57, and Matt Ohren, running varsity for the Tigers, placed 36th in 22:38.

In the junior varsity boys' 4000-meter race, Owen Erickson was 12th in 23:08, Bo Gullickson was 20th in 25:28, Ben Folkman was 21st in 25:50, Dylan DeToy was 24th in 26:53, Garner Swenson was 25th in 26:54, and Chris Tiernan was 26th in 27:36.
