Tigers run at Milaca

After eight days off, the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta cross country teams participated in the Milaca Mega Meet Saturday.

At Milaca, there were over 4,200 registered runners representing 125 teams.

The Tiger girls finished 12th out of 21 complete teams. There were 158 runners in the 4000-meter varsity race.

MaKenzie Smith finished seventh in 15:52; Rachel Rausch placed 59th in 18:03; Julia Sauder was 83rd in 18:48; Adrianella Mendez placed 85th in 18:55; Becca Holland finished 92nd in 19:04; and Tahni Jungst was 107th in 19:44.

The boys placed 11th out of 19 complete teams. There were 156 runners in the 5000-meter varsity race.

Roy Reese finished 14th in 17:55; Gage Anderson placed 40th in 18:43; Beau Keimig was 45th in 18:52; Caleb Sanderson placed 72nd in 19:46; Jacob Erickson was 79th in 20:10; Ben Jerke placed 92nd in 20:39; and Brody Bahr was 93rd in 20:41.

Riley Arndt finished 315th with a time of 22:39 and Sam Mattson finished 391st in 24:43.

Aaron Goulet placed 14th of 214 runners in the 10th grade race. His time was 17:59.

The freshman team placed 20th of 26 complete teams. There were 256 runners.

Max Jerke finished 50th in 20:23; Mac Pester placed 85th in 21:42; Chris Tiernan was 98th in 22:00; Matt Ohren placed 113th in 22:42; Ben Folkman was 125th in 23:41; and Bo Gullickson was 135th in 23:59.

There were 203 runners in the 3200-meter eighth grade race. Ryan Gray was 31st in 12:32; Jude Pelowski was 56th in 13:00; Russell Lindahl was 173rd in 15:36; and Garner Swenson placed 185th in 15:58.

The lone Tiger seventh grader, Dylan DeToy, placed 42nd out of 137 runners with a time of 13:57.
