Tigers shut out Eagles in softball

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta stayed unbeaten in West Central Conference South softball with a 10-0 shut out of Lac qui Parle Valley Monday at home.

Mackenzie Weatherkly drove in four runs to back her own four-hit pitching. Weatherly singled in a pair of runs in the first inning, then knocked in two more with a single in the fifth.

Weatherly allowed only four hits, while walking none and striking out 13.

Sadie Fischer was 1-for-3; Dani Schultz was 1-for-3 with an RBI; Weatherly was 2-for-4; Haley Scheldorf was 1-for-2; and Hannah Sayles was 1-for-2.

The Tigers are now 14-0 in the conference and 16-2 overall.
