Morris Area suffered its first loss of the season 8-1 Monday at Lac qui Parle Valley in West Central Conference South baseball.

The Eagles' Sam Haas struck out nine and gave up just one hit. Lac qui Parle Valley also got home runs from Jacob Redepenning and Zach Moen.

Tanner Berning beat out an infield single in the third to account for Morris' only hit.

Redepenning put LQPV ahead 3-0 with his two-run shot in the third inning and Moen added a solo homer in the following inning. Moen later doubled in another run in a four-run sixth in which Morris committed three errors.
