Tigers suffer first home loss to Witt's Cardinals

MORRIS — The Alexandria Cardinals dealt Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta a second-straight defeat 72-50 Tuesday in the Tigers’ first loss at home this season.


The class 3A Cardinals, coached by former Tiger Forrest Witt, shot 55 percent for the game, including a 10-for-20 performance from three-point range.

The Tigers, now 15-5 on the season, will get a second chance to play No. 1-ranked Melrose on Thursday at home. Alexandria improved to 7-11 overall.
