Tigers suffer losses in tennis

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta tennis team suffered two straight losses at the hands of tough conference teams, Sauk Centre and Minnewaska this week.

The Tigers were shut out by Sauk Centre Monday in a make-up match and by Minnewaska Tuesday at home.

Sauk Centre 7, Morris/C-A 0

At first singles Abbie Olson lost to Bethany Ellis 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.

At second singles Kaitlin Vogel lost to Morgan Kranz 6-1, 6-2.

At third singles Katie Cannon lost to Hope Schwinghamer  6-2, 6-2.

At fourth singles Maddie Hennen lost to Faith Henry  6-1, 6-1.

At first doubles Carly Gullickson and Kjersa Anderson lost to Jessica Rodenbaker and Molly Weger 5-7, 6-0, 6-4.

At second doubles Brittany Cardwell and Annie Brandt lost to Nicole Meyer and Sophia Rick 6-1, 6-1.

At third doubles Jessica Burks and Rachel Wagner lost to Izzy Royes and Abby Welberg 6-1, 6-0.

Minnewaska 7, Morris/C-A 0

At first singles Abbie Olson lost to Ellen Stensrud 6-1, 6-1.

At second singles Kaitlin Vogel lost to Jada Hoffman 6-0, 6-0.

At third singles Katie Cannon lost to Hannah Freske 6-1, 6-1.

At fourth singles Maddie Hennen lost to Myranda Thoen 6-0, 6-0.

At first doubles Carly Gullickson and Kjersa Anderson  lost to Rachel Riley and Makenna Hanson 6-1, 6-1.

At second doubles Hannah Breeggemann and Brittany Cardwell  lost to Joelle Thorfinson and Annika Pederson 6-0, 6-1.

At third doubles Jessica Burks and Annie Brandt lost to Sarah Freske and Karissa LaMont 6-3, 6-1.
