The Morris Area/ Hancock/Chokio-Alberta wrestling team participated in the Grant County Tournament Saturday, Dec. 12 at West Central Area School in Barrett.

Individual Results

103: Jonny Morehouse finished in sixth place losing a 14-4 major decision to T.J. Fulton of Dawson-Boyd/Lac qui Parle Valley in the fifth-place match.

119: Tony Domnick won a 7-2 decision in the fifth-place match against Alex Johnson of Fergus Falls.

135: Eric Goette won the third-place match with a 7-4 decision against Jacob Meder of Ottertail Central. In the semifinals, Goette dropped an 8-6 overtime decision to Seth Felland of West Central Area, who went on to take second place.

160: Tanner Berning placed second with a 4-0 loss to Dan Revering of Fergus Falls in the championship match. In the semifinals, Berning defeated Jon Pikop of WCA 9-5, who went on to place third.

171: Ryan Beyer took fifth place by default.

189: Jeff Knobloch placed sixth by fall in 1:45 to Ben Evans of Badger/Greenbush-Middle River.

285: Zach Gibson placed fifth by fall in 5:39 over Bradley Brown of Mille Lacs.
