The Bulldogs remain winless this season.

The Tigers shot out to a 10-0 lead on the road and then gave it all back by the 10-minute mark. At halftime, the Tigers held a 25-19 edge.

"Our defense is still giving us trouble," said coach Ken Gagner. "We just lack the intensity to put teams away and it is something we need to get fixed as tournament time approaches.

"Kelsey Greenwaldt did a nice job on the boards and Jenna Nelson and Mary Rentz distributed the ball well."

Rentz also went 5-of-5 from the line in the second half to shut the door on any Bulldog comeback.

"It was also good to see eight different girls get into the scoring column," added Gagner. "We are going to need that as the season winds down.

"Paynesville is a very young team with four of their five starters being 10th graders and younger. They will be improved in the coming years."

Nelson scored 14 points and Rentz had 13 to lead the Tigers.

Jordan Spaulding's 14 points paced the Bulldogs, who also got 12 points from Bryanna Burg and eight from Jessica Solum.
