Tigers tripped up in Montevideo

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boy’s basketball team took a 80-36 loss in their conference matchup against the Montevideo Thunderhawks on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Jordan Thompson scored 26 points and made eight three-pointers to lead Montevideo in the victory.

Dazhown Coleman had 12 points and seven steals, and Troy Diggins added 10 points and seven assists for the Thunderhawks.

Noah Grove paced the Tigers with 15 points, and CJ Nagel added six points and six rebounds.

Eric Staebler got 10 points with two assists and five rebounds in the contest.

Bryce Jergenson contributed four points, one steal and 100-percent from the free throw line.

Riley Biesterfeld had one rebound and one block for the Tigers.

The Tigers’ next game is against Melrose in Melrose on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Then the Tigers will host Sauk Centre on Thursday, Dec. 12.
