A balanced attack led to a 52-38 victory for the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls' basketball team at Montevideo Tuesday.

The Tigers led throughout the game, going to halftime up by 11 despite being down one player due to an injury.

"With about six minutes to go in the first half, we lost Katie Holzheimer, but hopefully not for long," said coach Dale Meichsner.

"The girls answered every run the Hawks made and didn't give up the lead," added Henrich. "We rebounded well, but could have done a better job with our turnovers."

Tracy Meichsner had 12 points, Nicole Strobel 10, and McKenzie Smith and Katie Holzheimer eight each for the Tigers. Smith also had six rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Strobel had seven rebounds and Beth Holland had four steals.

Ashley Hoehne netted a game-high 17 points for Montevideo and hooked 10 rebounds and pocketed five steals. The Thunder Hawks also got eight points and seven rebounds from Natalie Feldhake.
