Morris Area shut out Minnewaska 40-0 at Big Cat Stadium Friday night.
After taking a 12-0 lead into halftime, the Tigers exploded for another 28 points in the second half.
The key to the Tigers' success was holding the Lakers to under 140 yards overall, while putting up over 400 of their own.
The scoring started with 4:48 remaining in the first quarter when Ryan Beyer crossed the endzone on a fourth down.
With under two minutes left in the first half, Beyer scored again, this time on an 85-yard quarterback keeper.
Just 44 seconds into the second half, Tyler Hansen ran for 19 yards and another Tiger touchdown.
Eric Riley scored before the end of the third quarter to make it 26-0.
Beyer scored his third touchdown at the 8:23 mark of the fourth quarter.
WIth the reserves on the field, the Tigers scored a final TD with under 1:20 remaining in the game when Tim Ostby ran the ball into the endzone.
