The Morris Area boys opened the season on the home court with an 87-52 win over Osakis. Even scoring helped the Tigers avenge last season's loss to the Silverstreaks in the Section 6AA play offs. Lincoln Arnold had 16 points, while Cory Hennen and Jackson Henrich added 15 apiece.

Meanwhile in Ortonville, the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls improved to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers defeated the Trojans 81-45. The Tigers had four players score in double figures for the second-straight game. Nicole Gillespie led with 16 points. Mary Rentz chipped in 14. Stef Strobel and Heather Gagner had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
