Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta dropped the final regular-season match in three sets at BOLD Tuesday night. The Warriors downed the Tigers 25-21, 25-21, and 25-17.
The win gave the Warriors the West Central Conference South title outright for the second straight season. BOLD went 11-1 in league play this year after going 12-0 last season.
The Tigers' Terianne Itzen had eight kills and Sydney Engebretson had seven. Katie Holzheimer had 13 set assists and Itzen had eight.
Nikki Neisen and Tyann Caspers paced the Warriors with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Neisen also had 16 digs while Caspers had 12.
The Warriors' Mallarie Steffel had 6 kills and Baylie Kubesh played a solid all-around game, with 5 services aces, 12 set assists, and 8 digs. Setter Bailey Elbert also had 16 assists and was perfect on 44 sets.
The Tigers are now off until Oct. 28, when the Section 3AA tournament begins.
