TV, Web provide end-of-session coverage

ST. PAUL -- Minnesotans can pull up a front-row seat at home to upcoming debates about whether to build a Vikings stadium and other issues as the 2012 Minnesota Legislature winds down.

Stadium and public works financing debates are expected in the Minnesota House Monday and could occur as early as Monday in the Senate, although leaders of both bodies likely will not decide just when debates begin until that day. The House is scheduled to go into session at 10 a.m., but a lengthy recess could be called immediately.

The Minnesota Channel, on public television stations across the state, will expand its daytime legislative coverage to run as late as needed Monday.

Another option is Web coverage from the House and Senate at http://tinyurl.com/fccstadium. Debates in both bodies will be Webcast in full. And since the Minnesota Channel can carry just one chamber at a time, Minnesotans can watch one chamber on TV and the other via Webcast if debates are happening simultaneously in the House and Senate,

The Minnesota Channel also carries some news conferences and other events.
