Two men killed in farm hay bale accident in Wadena County

Two men were killed in a farm accident Wednesday night in Wadena County.

Sheriff Mike Carr said his office received a call at 5:18 p.m. of an accident in Orton Township, in the northeast part of Wadena County. Upon arrival at the scene, rescue workers pronounced the two men dead.

The accident happened when the two men were unloading a semi-truck of round bales.

Names of the men have not been released pending notification of relatives.

The sheriff's office was assisted by Sebeka Fire and Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol, Wevley Funeral Home and Tri-County Ambulance.
