Two Morris runners complete Boston Marathon, reports indicate both are unharmed

MORRIS -- Two runners from Morris participated in the Boston Marathon today, but were not injured in the explosions that took place near the finish line this afternoon.

Jennifer Lund finished the marathon with a time of 4:00:46.

Austin Schieler had a time of 3:03:49 in the marathon, a distance of approximately 26 miles.

Lund was traveling with several friends from the Morris area, including Lisa Harris, Alissa Nagel, Sharon Martin, Dot Vick and Nikki Rath. They have been in touch with staff in the University of Minnesota, Morris communications office to report that they are all fine. Lund works at UMM as the director of the Morris Campus Police. 

Social media updates have also reported that Schieler and his family are unharmed.

Two explosions occurred between 50 and 100 yards apart near the finish line as the race clock read 4:09. Multiple casualties have been reported near both explosions and two deaths have been confirmed.
