Two teenage girls injured in one vehicle rollover near Chokio

MORRIS – Two teenage girls were seriously injured in a one vehicle rollover accident near Chokio on Monday afternoon.

At about 3 p.m. the Stevens County Sheriff's Office, Chokio Fire and First Responders and the Stevens County Ambulance responded to the accident, which occurred on 210th Street approximately 1.5 miles east of County Road 13.

The two girls were the only occupants of the vehicle and both sustained serious injuries, Stevens County Sheriff Jason Dingman said.

One of the girls was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, N.D. The other victim was treated at Stevens Community Medical Center.

The vehicle is registered to James Knutson of rural Alberta. The names of the teenagers will not be released, Dingman said.
