On Sunday and Monday night, money, cameras and jewelry were stolen from cars across the city of Morris. Although most of the cars were parked on the street, some were also parked in garages, said Morris Police Chief Jim Beauregard.

A car was also reported stolen from a garage on Monday night. The police have since recovered the vehicle and are continuing to investigate.

The police are encouraging residents to lock their vehicles, and asking residents to look in their vehicles to see if anything has been stolen. Reporting any incidents could help the police develop a pattern and suspects, Beauregard said.

"We're asking for vigilance," said Beauregard.

Residents with information in this case can contact the Morris Police Department at (320) 208-6500.
