UMM chancellor to deliver keynote address at Faculty Leadership in Sustainability workshop

Chancellor Jacqueline Johnson of the University of Minnesota, Morris will be a keynote speaker at the Faculty Leadership in Sustainability: A Midwest Regional Workshop to be held on March 23-24, 2011, at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Johnson is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Board of Directors.

The workshop will explore the responsibility of helping college students "master knowledge, skills, perspectives, and ethical orientations" that will inform and inspire cultures of permanence not only in the institutions to which they belong but also in their personal lives. The two-day workshop will include speakers, presentations, exercises, discussion, reflection, and planning.

The event is co-sponsored by AASHE, the Upper Midwest Association for Campus Sustainability, the University of Wisconsin system, and the University of Wisconsin, River Falls.
