Chamber Music Concert—UMM Chamber Ensembles

There will be a chamber music concert on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Humanities Fine Arts Recital Hall. This regular concert series features the UMM Brass Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Chamber Choir, and Jazz Octet performing a varied program of diverse repertoire for small ensembles. Free admission; no ticket required.

Spanish Conversation Table

Please join us at La Mesa de Conversación en la Universidad de Minnesota, Morris, otherwise known as the Spanish Conversation Table at UMM, on Wednesday, March 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe. All are welcome! Students, faculty, staff, and community members have casual conversations in Spanish about a variety of topics. Meet new people and improve your Spanish.

Founder’s Scholar Convocation

Associate Professor of English and American Indian Studies Becca Gercken will present the Founder’s Day Scholar presentation on Thursday, March 6, at 4:30 p.m. in Humanities Fine Arts 6. Gercken’s talk is titled “The Heart of Our Mission is a Drum: The Morris Indian School, UMM, and the Liberal Arts.”

KUMM Radio and Haycreek Entertainment present Jeremiah James Korfe

KUMM Radio will present the star and winner of CMT’s “Sweet Home Alabama” Jeremiah James Korfe on Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. in the Student Center’s Edson Auditorium. Korfe’s radio hits include “This Paige is You” and “Fearless Gal.” Tickets are $5 for UMM students and staff and $10 for general admission.

Mixed Student Recital

There will be a mixed student recital on Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the  Humanities Fine Arts Recital Hall. This regular concert series features UMM instrumental and vocal students performing varied repertoire. Free admission; no ticket required.
