World Touch Film Screening Linsanity
There will be a showing of the film Linsanity (PG) on Monday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Edson Auditorium. This activity is part of UMM’s 41st annual World Touch Cultural Heritage Week.
Chrissy Kolaya Book Reception
There will be a reception in honor of the publication of Assistant Professor of English Chrissy Kolaya’s latest book, Any Anxious Body, on Tuesday, April 8, at 5 p.m. at the LaFave House (305 College Avenue, Morris MN 56267).
Diversitunes will be held on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Edson Auditorium. This family-friendly activity is a part of UMM’s 41st annual World Touch Cultural Heritage Week. It includes guest performances by rap duo Hilltribe, dance group Twin Cities Bhangra, and the Minnesota Chinese Music Ensemble.
"Why Would a Germanic Philologist Research Old Norse Nicknames?"There will be a lecture presented by Paul Peterson, pre-doctoral teaching fellow in German, on Wednesday, April 9, at 4 p.m. in Science 2190. Peterson will discuss his research, philology, and bawdy old-Norse nicknames.

Keynote Address for World Touch Cultural Heritage WeekThe keynote address for UMM’s 41st annual World Touch Cultural Heritage Week will be presented by Kao Kalia Yang on Wednesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s Edson Auditorium. Yang is the author of The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir.
Annual Senior Studio Art Student Exhibit IThe Annual Senior Studio Art Exhibit I will open on Thursday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Humanities Fine Arts Edward J. and Helen Jane Morrison Gallery. Exhibit II will open on May 1. Each exhibit features work from seven senior studio art students.
