Celebrating Sustainability Event

The University will serve as the gathering place for the Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships (RSDP) "Celebrating Sustainability" event on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The occasion will feature RSDP placed-based projects, sustainable development work conducted by community and University partners, and homegrown food and music. In addition to Chancellor Jacqueline Johnson's welcome remarks, Kathy Draeger, RSDP statewide director, will also provide comments. The celebration will include an afternoon tour highlighting the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center's sustainable foods and energy projects and the Morris campus's green initiatives. New Student Registration

Incoming UMM students will register for classes on Friday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in HFA 160.

Summer Fun in the Garden

The West Central Research and Outreach Center (WCROC) Horticulture Garden in Morris will again be hosting a series of family gardening programs. Summer Fun in the Garden presents its monthly program on Wednesday, August 10, at 6 p.m. with a light optional supper followed by a presentation by a Master Gardener on a topic of interest to the home gardener. Added bonus: a garden activity conducted by 4-H for children!
