Festival of the Winds Large Ensemble Concert

Festival of Spanish Language Cinema
The Spanish Discipline is bringing quality films from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Spain to west central Minnesota for the benefit and enjoyment of the campus and community at no charge. The final film, Cell 211/Celda 211, will be screened on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The campus and public are invited to the free films, with English subtitles, in the Morris Theatre at 12 East Sixth Street.
Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time viewing
The first full-length, high-definition documentary film ever made about legendary environmentalist Aldo Leopold, Green Fire highlights Leopold's extraordinary career, tracing how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement, will be screened on Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Science and Math building room 2950. The film is free and open to the public.
Public Reading by Kiese Laymon
The English Discipline's Prairie Gate Literary Festival (PGLF) is pleased to host author Kiese Laymon to read from his essays and novels, including his forthcoming novel My Name is City. Attendees will also get a short preview of the works of writers coming to the spring PGLF this March. The reading will be on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Briggs Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Intergalactic Nemesis Performance
Inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, and the pulp serials of the 1930s, The Intergalactic Nemesis is a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience appropriate for all ages.
