German Conversation Table
The German Conversation table is an informal opportunity to converse in Deutsch. People with all levels of proficiency are welcome! The German Conversation table is held every Monday at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe.
GWSS Discussion Series—Brad Deane: "Imperial Masculinity and Cultural Cross-Dressing"
Several times each month faculty doing gender, women, and sexuality studies (GWSS)-related scholarship will present their “work in progress.” Each work showcased is at a different stage of production, but all the presenters are looking for lively discussion and feedback from the audience. This month’s presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 19, at 5:30 p.m. in Imholte Hall 109.
French Conversation Table

Jane Addams Project
The Jane Addams Project is a cross-cultural discussion circle for Spanish- and English-speaking Morris residents and students. The discussion will be held on Tuesday, February 19, at 7 p.m. in Imholte Hall 111.
Spanish Conversation Table
Please join us at La Mesa de Conversación en la Universidad de Minnesota, Morris—otherwise known as the Spanish Conversation Table at UMM—on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe. Underneath the Lintel, a one man show by Glen Berger
Actor Pat O’Brien will present Glen Berger’s Underneath the Lintel on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Humanities Fine Arts Raymond J. Lammers Proscenium Theatre. This event is sponsored by the Theatre Arts Discipline, the Briggs Fund, and the Office of Student Activities.
On Wednesday, Feb. 20, there will be a concert featuring the hip-hop artist and slam poet Guante from Minneapolis. This event is sponsored by KUMM radio and will begin at 9 p.m. in the Student Center’s Oyate Hall.
Prairie Gate Literary Festival
During the third annual Prairie Gate Literary Festival, Feb. 21–23, aspiring writers and literary enthusiasts can enjoy free public readings from nationally and internationally recognized authors. This year the festival will welcome novelist Brian Malloy, poet Mary Biddinger, poet/novelist /spoken word artist Ed Bok Lee, memoirist Patti See, and fiction writer Adam McOmber. Jazz Ensemble Concert — J. Squinobal
On Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. there will be a Jazz Ensembles concert in the Humanities Fine Arts Recital Hall, featuring Jason Squinobal, director of jazz studies and assistant professor of music.
