German Conversation Table
The German Conversation table is an informal opportunity to converse in Deutsch. People with all levels of proficiency are welcome! The German Conversation table is held every Monday at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe.
The next Morris Community Meal will be held on Monday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (108 West Eighth Street, Morris). This month’s menu highlights a traditional Mexican dish, pazole, served with a variety of toppings. The event is free and open to all. Anyone is welcome to assist with sponsorships, meal planning, cooking, and cleaning after the meal—or just come and enjoy the food and fellowship!
French Conversation Table
The French Conversation Table is an informal opportunity to converse in French. People with all levels of proficiency are welcome. The French Conversation table is held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe.
Jane Addams Project
The Jane Addams Project is a cross-cultural discussion circle for Spanish- and English-speaking Morris residents and students. The discussion will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in Imholte Hall 111.
Spanish Conversation Table
Please join us at La Mesa de Conversación en la Universidad de Minnesota, Morris—otherwise known as the Spanish Conversation Table at UMM—on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center’s Turtle Mountain Cafe. All are welcome! Students, faculty, staff, and community members have casual conversations in Spanish about a variety of topics. Meet new people and improve your Spanish!
This event will take place on Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Briggs Library McGinnis Room. The book party is co-sponsored by Briggs Library and Within the World. Individuals can read a short excerpt from their favorite book. 2013 Jooinn Lee Lecture
Eric Schwartz, dean of the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, will deliver the 2013 Jooinn Lee Lecture on Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in Imholte Hall 109. The title of Schwartz’s talk will be “Human Rights and the Responsibility to Protect Civilians at Risk: Promise or Pipe Dream?” This lecture is free and open to the public.

Faculty Recital—Ann DuHamel
On Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. there will be a faculty recital concert in the Humanities Fine Arts Recital Hall, featuring Ann DuHamel, head of keyboard studies.
CAC Films Presents—2013 UMMy Awards
On Friday, April 12, there will be a showing of 2013 UMMy Awards in the Student Center’s Edson Auditorium, beginning at 9:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by Campus Activities Council (CAC) Films.
Theatre Performance — “The King Stag”
The Theatre Discipline will close its 2012-13 season with the vibrant and enchanting children’s show “The King Stag,” adapted by Sylvia Ashby from Carlo Gozzi’s traditional Italian fairytale “Il Re Cervo. “Directed and designed by visiting artists Kathy Ray, Barrett, and Sara Herman, Minneapolis, “The King Stag” will be performed in the Raymond J. Lammers Proscenium Theatre April 10-18, 2013. Public performances will take place on Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. Matinees for invited students will be held April 10-18.
