Green Energy Tour
On Saturday, Aug. 10, there will be a one-hour Green Energy Tour leaving from the gate to the southwest of the Lee Community Building (County Road 22/US-59 Bypass South) at 2 p.m. The tour will give participants the opportunity to step inside a wind turbine, see how corn cobs are turned into biomass energy, and learn how solar energy makes electricity and heats water. Participants may register at the University of Minnesota, Morris booth at the Stevens County Fair or visit morris.umn.edu/greensummer.
Morris Area Farmers Market
The Morris Healthy Eating team encourages you to visit the Morris Area Farmers Market, where farmers, growers, producers, and artisans sell their own products directly to the public, allowing customers to have a direct relationship with the producer of the items they purchase. The market is held from 3 to 6 p.m. every Monday and Thursday at East Side Park (corner of 7th Street and Colorado Avenue, Morris).

There will be daily mask- and puppet-making workshops from Monday, Aug. 12, until Wednesday, Aug. 14.
