The Oliver Kelley Farm is a living history museum where visitors can step back into the 1850s and learn how agriculture was practiced, how food was preserved and what daily life was like for Kelley who was one of the most influential Minnesotans of his time.  Kelley was one of the founders of the National Grange movement to which we owe, among other things, rural free mail delivery service.   Kelley was an early and ardent advocate for farm families, grassroots organizing and popular education.  The episode features Bob Quist, UMM alumni and the Kelley Farm site manager with the Minnesota Historical Society as he leads viewers through the historic farmstead which draws more than 28,000 visitors a year.

The 30-minute episode is produced through a special arrangement with Mike Cihak and Roger Boleman of the Instructional and Media Technologies Department at the University of Minnesota, Morris.
