MORRIS, Minn. -- Jeff Lieberman--host of the Discovery Channel's Time Warp--will speak at the University of Minnesota, Morris on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Center's Edson Auditorium. The title of Lieberman's lecture is "Beyond Perception." This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Campus Activities Council (CAC) Convocations Committee.
A modern renaissance man, Lieberman explores connections between the arts, sciences, education, passion, creativity, and the potential future of human consciousness. He also shows technological and perceptual sculpture around the world, sharing an emotional and mystical connection with science and the universe.
Having earned bachelor of science degrees in both physics and math as well as master of science degrees in mechanical engineering and media arts and sciences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lieberman continues to explore the applications of technology as they apply to evolving and shifting human consciousness. He also composes music in the duo gloobic and has performed at Carnegie Hall.
