UPDATE: Five file in school board election, four file for city council as of Tuesday afternoon

MORRIS - All four incumbent school board members have filed for reelection with one challenger and four candidates have filed for open seats on the Morris City Council as of Tuesday afternoon. Filing for both races closed at 5 p.m. today.

As of Monday, Dick Metzger, Stan Wulf, Jamie Solvie and Brent Fuhrman had all filed for reelection to the Morris Area School Board. Mike Odello filed on Tuesday afternoon.

Two candidates have filed to compete for the two-year term left open by former city council member Twig Webster's retirement -- James Henricks and Brian Solvie.

Two candidates have also filed for the two open four-year terms on the council -- Kevin Wohlers and Kara Splitstoser-Robertson.

Current city council members up for reelection are Bill Storck and Matt Carrington.

The filing period closed at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The city and school filings are for races in which no primary election is held. Everyone who files will be included on the general election ballot in November.
