Update: Winter storm warning issued for Stevens County

MORRIS – The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Stevens County, from 9 p.m. on Tuesday until 6 a.m. on Thursday. A previously-issued winter storm watch is no longer in effect. 

Northwest winds will increase Wednesday afternoon and produce blowing and drifting snow and blizzard conditions. Listen to your local weather station for updates to this alert.

The National Weather Service said occasional light snow on Tuesday will become steadier and heavier into Wednesday. Snow accumulation of six to nine inches is forcasted in the warning area. Gusting winds will produce areas of blowing snow across western Minnesota.
