UPDATED: Arrest made in death of Thief River Falls woman

Agents with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension early Monday evening arrested Jedidiah Dean Troxel, 31, of 116 North Nelson in Crookston without incident. The Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Polk County Sheriff's Office, Crookston Police Department and East Grand Forks Police Department assisted with the arrest.

Traxol is a suspect in the murder of Tanya Marie Kazmierczak, 40, whose body was found Sunday near the Red Lake River in Smiley Township in rural Pennington County. Kazmierczak, who lived on the 600 block of East Tonder Street in Thief River Falls, had been missing since early Saturday.

Traxol is in the Pennington County Jail. Charges are expected later today.

The Minnesota State Patrol and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation also assisted with the investigation. The Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Polk County Sheriff's Office, Crookston Police Department and East Grand Forks Police Department assisted with the arrest.
