Weatherly spins another gem in Tigers' 12-0 shut out

Mackenzie Weatherly spun a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and also rapped a pair of doubles to lead Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta to a 12-0 West Central Conference South win over Yellow Medicine East on Thursday.

The Tigers are now 12-0 in conference play.

Sadie Fischer had three of the 14 hits by the Tigers. She also drove in two runs. Hannah Sayles and Haley Henrichs had two hits and two RBI each, while Beth Holland had two hits and one RBI.

Courtney Ehleringer was 1-for-3; Dani Schultz was 1-for-4; and Haley Scheldorf was 1-for-3.

Weatherly did not walk a batter in the five-inning game.
