Strong winds toppled trees across southern Minnesota. There was wind damage in Yellow Medicine County at Porter. In Lucan in Redwood County thunderstorms winds also toppled trees. Large hail was reported near Canby and Redwood Falls. Portions of central and northern Minnesota also had some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

We did manage to salvage a nice day on Sunday as high pressure returned to the state. A few spotty showers were reported late Sunday night into Monday morning. Plenty of sunshine has been found for the start of the week along with very low dew points. Humidity levels are in the 30 percent range across the state. It feels rather fall-like doesn't it?

Temperatures will gradually warm-up throughout the week. Mid 80s should by experienced by Thursday. Rain chances will return by late Friday and into the 4th of July Weekend.

Have a great day!
