Wednesday's Area Weather: Chance of showers, T-storms later this week
Morris Minnesota 607 Pacific Avenue 56267

We finally picked-up some much needed rain over the weekend. Most areas received from .15" to .50" of rain.

Temperatures were cool over the weekend also with the rain. Some spots in southern Minnesota on Sunday struggled to make it to 50 degrees. The rain over the weekend did help with our fire danger concerns across the state. Lingering rain fell across Southern Minnesota on Monday.

Thankfully, no severe weather was reported across the state with this system. Unfortunately, areas in Mississippi were not as fortunate. Ten people were killed by a tornado and many more were injured. This is a reminder of how dangerous this time of the year can be with thunderstorms and tornadoes that can be spawned by them. Last week was Severe Weather Awareness week. I hope you have considered what to do for you and your family during severe weather. Please take this seriously!

We do have a chance for additional showers and isolated thunderstorms for Thursday and Friday. Have a great week and enjoy the upcoming weekend.

WEATHER HISTORY
