West Central Minnesota in Winter Weather Advisory for this afternoon and tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for west central Minnesota from 2 p.m. today to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The area included in this advisory is near and west of a line from Granite Falls to Glenwood to Wadena.

A combination of rain and snow is possible this afternoon. However, as the precipitation increases in intensity, it is expected to change over to snow.

Between 2 and 4 inches of wet snow is likely by the time the snow comes to an end tonight. Slushy snow accumulations are more likely on less traveled roads this evening.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR

FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR

SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE

DRIVING.
