Woman sexually assaulted in Morris on Sunday, police seeking information
MORRIS, Minn. - A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near the intersection of East 5th Street and Columbia Avenue in Morris on Sunday night, the Morris Police Department reports.
According to the police, during the evening hours of April 15, 2012, a 19-year-old woman was approached by a man in an older, two-door grey sedan asking for directions. The suspect forced the victim into the vehicle where he sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape and contact law enforcement.
The suspect in the case is a white male, approximately six feet tall and around 250 pounds with a muscular build, chinstrap beard and glasses, the report states. At the time of the attack, the suspect was dressed in camouflage pants and a shirt with a patch on the left shoulder that read "Army." The victim told police the suspect was wearing a baseball cap with the word "Veterans" on the front.
