The Sting improved to 2-4 in the conference.

"The Tigers played hard against a much bigger Sting team," explained coach Dale Henrich. "We had many people come in and make a big play or two, but we couldn't hold a second-half lead.

"We lost one post due to fouls with about nine minutes left in the second half and two more players after that battling inside," added Henrich. "The Tigers played hard, but shooting 35 percent won't win many games."

Katie Holzheimer and Tracy Meichsner had nine points apiece to lead the Tigers.

Courtney Hinz led the Sting with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five steals, along with hitting two three-pointers.
