Tigers upset BOLD, win 4th straight

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta upset undefeated BOLD 34-29 Wednesday night at Big Cat Stadium.

The Warriors had problems containing Tiger running back Tim Ostby. The senior rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns to help the Tigers rally from a 13-0 deficit in the first half and win their fourth straight.

The Tigers scored with 23 seconds left on a Jake Torgerson-Logan Manska 8-yard connection on fourth down to stun the Warriors.

The Tigers pulled within 29-28 midway through the fourth quarter and it looked like BOLD would run out the clock to remain unbeaten, but a Warrior fumble led to a 12-play scoring drive for Morris/C-A that took 3 minutes to complete. Tom Holland, who recovered the fumble, jump-started the drive by hauling in a 17-yard screen pass from Torgerson.

The Tiger defense made key stops, including an interception by Chandler Erickson and another by Daniel Nelson to end the game.

BOLD, at 5-0 coming into Morris, had already wrapped up the West Central Conference South title in Week 6.

Warrior Zach Remillard ran for 123 yards and two scores for BOLD.
