Hancock beats CGB in girls basketball

HANCOCK — Courtney Greiner played a monster game for the Owls, with 21 points and 19 rebounds, in a Pheasant Conference win over Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Tuesday.

Not to be outdone, Hancock’s Kendra Schmidgall went for 20 points and 10 rebounds and also blocked 8 shots.

Hancock, now 5-0 in the conference and 13-3 overall, clinched at least a tie for the title.

The Owls play Underwood in a boys-girls doubleheader on Friday in Hancock, beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Owls play Hillcrest Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota, Morris as part of the four-game Pheasant Conference-Little Eight Conference showcase.
