Morris one act to compete at sections

Morris Area High School's one-act play, “The Ice Fishing Play,” took second place at the subsection tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28, and will advance to the section tournament this Saturday, Feb. 4 at West Central Area.

MORRIS, Minn. - Morris Area High School's one-act play, “The Ice Fishing Play,” took second place at the subsection tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28, and will advance to the section tournament this Saturday, Feb. 4 at West Central Area.

The winner of the subsection tournament was West Central Area, which performed a Mark Twain story, “The Man that Corrupted Hadleyburg.”

Morris will compete at the section tournament at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, followed by WCA at 9:15 a.m. The section contest is free and open to the public.

Other teams that participated in the subsection tournament were Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, Chokio-Alberta, Herman-Norcross and Wheaton.
