All dressed up and ready to rock. The Hancock Pep Band members get into the tournament mania with unique attire and great sounds. These members of the percussion session decided to make a statement with maroon and white along with their drumbeats. Hancock defeated Brandon-Evansville on Saturday at UMM and faced Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night. The Owls lost the game with Parkers Prairie by one point in the final seconds of the game. Hancock Preschool registration now open

Registration is now open for next years Preschool class at the Hancock School. If you have a child who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2010 and are interested in sending your child to pre-school this fall, please contact Tanya Fischer, Hancock preschool teacher at 392-5615. Children must have preschool screening before attending. Preschool is all day Tuesday and Thursday.

Hancock Elementary Top Readers honored

Hancock Elementary Top Readers honored February was “Don’t be a Couch Potato - READ!” month at Hancock Elementary. Each student kept track of the number of minutes they read and each class had a goal to reach. The Hancock Lions donated books to top readers from each class and they also received a certificate. The top readers included in front from left - Emmanuel Chavira, second grade; Ella Pedersen, kindergarten; and Morgan Kisgen, first grade. In back - Barry Nelson, Hancock Lions president; Bryce Schmidgall, sixth grade; Taylor Zeltwanger, fifth grade; Kaleb Koehl, fourth grade; and Connor Reese, third grade. The sixth grade class read the most minutes.

Hancock Junior varsity girls finish season with 19-2 record The Hancock girls basketball junior varsity team finished their season at Barnesville with a close win 31-28. The girls completed the 2010 season with a record of 19-2.
