Judges reject Big Stone II request

A judicial panel recommends the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission reject an electric transmission project in western Minnesota that is linked to the proposed Big Stone II power plant.

Students in Kyle Berget’s third-grade class got in on the excitement of Morris Area Prom 2008 by helping with decorations for Post Prom. The students created pinatas which will be used to decorate at the Lee Community Center. Later, the students will get to break the pinatas which Post Prom committee members have promised to fill with goodies. Hancock Concrete's Cannon Falls plant recently completed the construction of 63 sections of precast concrete box culvert. The culverts are being installed under the new 35W bridge to form a walkway. The Hancock plant is constructing wing wall end pieces that will be installed at the east end of the walkway. Trucks from both plants were used to deliver the large sections.
