ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS HEART OF THE LAKES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REROOF Sealed bids shall be received and publicly opened at BHH Partners, 650 3rd Avenue Southeast, Perham, MN 56573 on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm (local time) for the work and materials in the Heart of the Lakes Elementary School Reroof Project. A pre-bid walk thru is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 11:00 am at the project site. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid walk thru. Project Description: Reroofing of existing portions of the Heart of the Lakes Elementary School. Plans and specifications may be examined at the Architect's Office (BHH Partners, 650 3rd Avenue Southeast, Perham, MN) and at the following locations: Fargo Builders Exchange, Duluth Builders Exchange, Minnesota Builders Exchange and St. Cloud Builders Exchange. Prime Bidders may secure one (1) set of Contract Documents at BHH Partners, PO Box 185, Perham, MN 56573 upon deposit (refundable) of $50.00 per set or may secure a CD containing PDF files of the Contract Documents upon payment (non-refundable) of $25.00 per CD, which includes the mailing fee. The deposit will be refunded if documents are returned to the Office of the Architect in Good Condition within ten (10) days after date of bid opening. Please provide separate checks made payable to BHH Partners if you are going to request refundable and non-refundable documents. Bonding and Bidding Requirements: Each Contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Amount. Bid Security: Bids that shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Base Bid submitted, made payable to the Owner, as guarantee that the Bidder will, if awarded, enter into a Contract in accordance with Contract Documents and submitted bid. Time of Completion: The completion date for this project is set at or before August 1, 2014. Wage Rate: Project will be subject to applicable requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act. Right to Reject Bids: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in the discretion of the Owner, the interests of the Owner will be best served thereby. The Owner further reserves the right to hold all legitimate proposals for a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof.
