The Tiger girl’s volleyball team earned their first-ever section championship after a three set victory over Marin County West on Nov. 7. They opened the Class AA State Tournament on Nov. 12 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul with a match against fourth-seeded Rocori. Although the match went to five sets, the Tigers couldn’t quite pull off a victory. The team went 1-2 in the state tournament, placing sixth. (Brooke Kern/Sun Tribune)
